Who We Are

LIVED2TELL is a grassroots nonprofit founded in 2000 by Cheryl L. Brown, a three-time breast cancer thriver and patient advocate. Our work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and connection. We serve men and women with all types of cancer, with a special focus on those who are underserved, underinsured, or navigating treatment without a strong support system.

Leadership & Governance

LIVED2TELL Cancer Support Outreach, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors committed to ethical oversight, strategic direction, and fiduciary responsibility.
The Board works alongside the Founder and Executive Director to ensure the organization operates in alignment with its mission, complies with nonprofit governance standards, and remains financially accountable.
Board leadership and volunteer supporters bring lived experience as survivors, caregivers, advocates, and community partners. Their collective insight strengthens program integrity and reinforces the organization’s commitment to serving cancer patients with dignity, transparency, and structured support.
The Board of Directors meets regularly to review organizational performance, financial oversight, and mission alignment.
LIVED2TELL is designed to operate beyond any one individual, with governance systems in place to support long-term sustainability and responsible growth.
