My name is Marcia Carter-Griffith, I am originally from Guyana, South America. I moved to the United States about 40 years ago, and I reside in Covington Georgia, where I am a Business Intelligence Developer. My family and I moved here about 18 years ago for a better life, and I am thrilled to say that it has been wonderful.
My interest in Lived 2 Tell comes from my desire to make a difference with anyone who has suffered from this terrible disease called cancer, or who has family members that have gone through the struggle. As for myself, I can say that my family has been affected by this disease on several levels. First my father, who had brain cancer then my youngest brother, who was just a year older than me who passed a few years ago from the exact same cancer as my father. In addition, my family, cousins, aunties, and what have you, have suffered from this disease in someway or another. I would like to give whatever support I can (from technical assistance to hands-on volunteerism) to help in the endeavor of supporting people who have gone through this tragedy and lived to tell.
